Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

I have 2 bulging disks in my back this condition has been caused by my job i have documentation from 2 doctors saying it is caused by the lifting I do on the job,Ihave been told by my employer that it will do no good no good to file workmans comp for my back injury because this is something I do every day and is considered repetitious and workers comp will not pay. Is this true? My doctor is livid I have not filed wcomp I need my job my employer is big into safety, I am having injections in my back for pain and now my insurance is wanting to to turn into wcomp, who do I believe? I want to keep my job!

The back conddition which you've described could possibly qualify as a claim under occupational disease which is covered by workman's compensation.

You should file your claim and let the matter take its course through the system and not be deterred by the off-putting admonitions of your employer who apparently either dosen't know what he's talking about (or even worse is fabricating his explanation).
