workmans comp injury
i was injured back in december of 2001.it was a slip and fall at my employment.i slipped in the doorway of where i had worked at and was injured both wrist my knee and my back.i went to a doctor a day or two later when i was still inpain.they told me that i had torn lig in my knee and d i needed to continue to work until the slow season or they would have to let me go. i continued to work but in feb i was promoted to assistant manager and two weeks later i was in alot of pain and told my mannager that i thought that i was going to have to have the surg and that my knee and hands were getting worse and my back was still hurting bad.the manager said give her a couple days to figure out the situation. i thought all was well.two days later was fired.when i questioned about medical they stated that i was no longer employeed there that i need to use my insurance they owed me nothing and band me from even tanning at the salon. i know that there has been moths that have gone by but in that ime i have tried to get jobs but noone will hire you when you have injuries that limit standing walking or use of your han ds. do i have any chance to get finiacal help or medical help are they right and they are not responsible?

Dear Sir or Madam: From the circumstances you describe you may have a good workers comp claim. You indicated you fell at work suffering your injury. You did not indicate what caused the fall. If any kind of slippery substance caused your fall, then the injury would be compensable. Please call me at 358-4766 and give me more details. I have 25 yrs in workers comp experience.
