can a lawer write up a grant proposal for a non profit. if not wher can I find a grant proposal writer?

Sure, a lawyer can do that. But so can a professional proposal writer.

I'd call the reference desk at your local library and see if there are any associations of grant writers.

Grant Writing is a fairly specialized field, and although an attorney may be helpful, an experienced grant-writer is a better bet.

Try "grant writer" in google, craigslist, etc.
