Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Washington
appeal to dangerous dog complaint
I have been denied the right to review any written statemants or reports after being notified a complaint was made against me regarding my dog. I have filed an appeal in hopes that, this is my loop hole.

I am assuming that you received the notice from a government agency (as opposed to a housing development or condo).
The normal steps are:
1. Complaint is filed.
2. Respondent (you) are notified of the complaint.
3. You are given the right to respond as part of an investigation or hearing.
4. A decision-maker makes a decision.
5. THEN you have the right to appeal.
Re: appeal to dangerous dog complaint - PS
It is normal to not be allowed to see some documents during an active investigation, but you will ultimately be allowed to receive a copy.
