Legal Question in Business Law in Washington
48 hour grace period
My daugher signed a contract yesterday with LA Fitness for $775.00. She had both her children with her at the time as well as a high presured salesperson. Eventually she gave in and signed the contract. Today she tried to called and spoke to the manager and tried to cancel the contract, but they refused. Does the state of Washington have a grace period for contracts signed? No where on the contract does it say she cannot cancel it... Thank you for your time.

Re: 48 hour grace period
no. Contracts are valid upon signing. You may be able to have the contract voided if you can prove that your daugther signed under duress or coercion.
