Legal Question in Business Law in Washington

I think this is on the right area of law. Anyways, I ordered a package from Amazon.com and they shipped it to me. When my package arrived, it contained the receipt (invoice) for another person which had that person's home address and name on it. So package had the product I ordered but the other person's receipt, disclosing their personal information. I fear that this must mean that my receipt was also sent to another person, disclosing my own personal information. Is this unlawful?

It sounds like an innocent mistake. Unless the person who got your receipt misuses your information, you shouldn't suffer any consequences and there should be no need for legal action. I suggest contacting Amazon, telling them what happened, and asking them to straighten things out for you.
