Legal Question in Business Law in Washington
Business name fraud?
A former Hair dresser from my shop (lets call it XYZ Shop) opened up a new shop and in her newspaper advertisement stated ''Formerly XYZ Shop'' not former employee of XYZ Shop. What recourse may I have?

Re: Business name fraud?
First you need to send a "cease and desist" letter to your former employee. Also, contact an attorney in the area who can threaten legal action to protect your business name. If the cease and desist letter does not work, you may need to get a restraining order.

Send a cease and deceit letter and ask for a newspaper retraction of the ad.
