I have asked my employer for a record of my salary and commission rates since I have been employed (9+ yrs). The request has been ignored. Do I have a right to see the history of my compensation?

Yes, in Washington, you do. (It is not clear to me whether you are also asking about Colorado law, and I cannot advise you about Colorado law.) The Washington Administrative Code requires that the employer keep a personnel file that includes, among other things, a clear record of what compensation you received, when and what was deducted. The Code further requires that this record be made available for your inspection "at any reasonable time" and that you must also be permitted to copy the material, though it does not indicate that employer must cover the cost of copying.
