Legal Question in Business Law in Washington
Continuing personal guarantee
Does a vendor have to notify the personal guarantor before filing a law suit against them in Washington state? Also, does the vendor that is suing have to have the original, signed guarantee ( not a copy)?

Re: Continuing personal guarantee
Notice prior to suit is only required if the contract calls for it. Otherwise, the vendor is not required provide any notice. They don't need to have an original as long as they can prove that there copy is an exact copy of the original.
