Legal Question in Business Law in Washington

contract labor

I have a small business company (cleaning houses) and sometimes I hire some people to help me. On my tax return I can deduct the cost of the helper as ''CONTRACT LABOR''. I would like to be protected by a contract . I tried to find a specific contract for that but I could not. Do you guys have any suggestions (maybe a form that I can print and fill it up).

I look forward to hearing from you,

Thanks,

Re: contract labor

Form contracts are frequently used by individuals thinking it is the cheapest way to go. Then when there is a problem, they go to an attorney to fix it. I have seen it plenty of times. Usually this way of doing things is more expensive because we cannot do anything for you and you are damaged or the cost to do something is much more. I'd advise using a lawyer to create a contract specific to your needs, giving you adequate protection if there are problems instead of printing and filling out a form. You spend a little now but prevention is better than rehabilitation.
