As a Franchise Attorney I can say the following. Any individual, business, partnership, or corporation (with a couple of exceptions) may bring a small claims suit against any other individual, business, partnership, or corporation for recovery of money only for an amount up to $5,000 in the State of Washington. Attorneys and paralegals cannot participate in a small claims action. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
