Dissolving A Partnership

My husband and his brother owned a business together. They decided it best to seperate. An agreement was reached of a payment of $25,000.00 at the time of seperation monthly pymnts of $500.00, and a balloon payment on 01/01/02 of $25,000.00. The payment on the balloon has not been paid. We have received payments totaling $8,000.00 with a balance due od $17,000.00. We are supposed to be receiving monthly payments which are also past due. What legal right due we have. Due we have a right to sue and ask for interest from January and ask that the court costs and attorney fees be paid or are we out of luck. Thank you, Kim

There are a number of preliminary questions that need to be answered before the final question (How will we get paid?) can be properly addressed. For example, what documentation is available as to the terms of the partnership and of its dissolution? Why were the payments stopped? And more.
