I served my husband for contempt for non-payment for spousal maintenance, it was canceled/strickened, why would tha be.

I am not aware of your particular case, but it is likely the court you filed in has a requirement that you confirm a hearing a certain amount of time before a hearing or it is stricken. You should check with the court or the court rules about this.
