Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington
Disparity of Treatment
I am a Senior Field Supervisor of the company I work for.
However, I am also a 62 years old, white, gay, over weight female who has been treated unfairly.
I trained and coached all new Supervisors that were hired.
I have been demoted and unable to gain another pay raise because my ''seniority'' was stripped away from me for no valid reason.
I have been put into a situation where I was placed on a graveyard shift, after I have been working swing shift for 2 1/2 years, for no valid reason.
My immediate supervisor told me this was done ''because I was controversial and wrote emails that were to long.''
However, nothing was said to be before this, nor was I coached or warned I might be ''demoted'' for this reason(s). No one told me they did not like my emails, or that I was controversial.
Now I have to take orders from people who ''I'' trained, and have to work a exhausting graveyard shift as punishment.
What can I do, and what rights do I have under these conditions? I believe this is disparity of treatment since I am older than anyone in my department, a woman and also gay. The other Field Supervisors are all men in their twentys or early forties.
What can I do to remedy this situation?
Respectfully,

Re: Disparity of Treatment
You seem to have almost one half a dozen reasons which could give a basis for a wrongful termination lawsuit. That will put an end to all of this silliness.
