Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington
Trying to get dog back
Sorry I had to resubmit as I entered the wrong email accidently. My question is what can I do legally if someone has my dog and refuses to return it. I own the dog and have a sale contract and AKC registration to prove that. The dog is at their residence temperally and after a disagreement they now are saying they will not return my dog. I really need some help in finding out how to get my dog back.
Thank you.

Speak with the cops and/or the DA's office about it. One who wrongfully keeps something belonging to another after having gained possession legally is guilty of "larceny by a bailee." Mention that.
Good luck.
