Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington

Holding Room

I was arrested and put in a holding room for several hours while the detective worked or whatever. The light went out, the officers were aware, and I was in the room with no lights for several hours. Is that illegal? I am seventeen and am going to have to go to court for making a sparkler bomb which apparently is a Class A felony. What will probably result?

Re: Holding Room

Talk to a lawyer in person. You have too much at stake on the criminal charge to mess with online advice, which by it's nature cannot take the place of a full-on interview and analysis. Good luck, though! I sure hope it's NOT going to be treated as a felony.

As for the room without the light, were I you I would at least make a compliant to the jail administrator, in addition to talking to a lawyer in person on this matter as well.
