Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington

land lard

I wasnt home at the time so my friend answer the door to my land lord saying she opened my mail up and noticedthere was a 4,000 check and i might want it. so when my boyfriend confronted them about it they lied about it. Can I press charges on them?

It is a federal offense to open someone else's mail without permission. Contact your local post office for more information.
