Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington
local government corruption?
I was married to a city police officers daughter. When she and I seperated, she would return to my place of residence and become hostile. Durring one of these violent visits, police were called and I was arrested. The county refused to file charges due to the evidence showing she was responsible for the altercation, and releassed me two days later. This police officer, her father, then went to the Dept. of Corrections and the city prosecutor, in full uniform, with false allegations and demanding for my arrest. I was consequently arrested and held until the trial in which I prevailed in a unanimous decision. Question: Are the actions by this police officer appropriate and do I have grounds for a civil suit either against this officer or the police department?

Re: local government corruption?
Absolutely : consult a plaintiff's lawyer and start gathering evidence as soon as possible. This sounds like you have a plausible case.
