asking for opinion about euthanasia

for your information, I am a law student in one of the local universities here in Malaysia.currently, I am doing a research on the euthanasia.do you agree to use the term ''mercy killing'' to represent euthanasia? I hope that you are willing to share your view towards this topic;how do you personally fell about euthanasia, the pros and cons of the euthanasia..

I do not agree to the use of the term 'mercy killing' as a proxy for euthanasia or assisted suicide, because that is not adequately descriptive legal terminology. In particular 'mercy killing' seems to lack the element of consent.

I do not have any particular opinion on the matter, because it is against the law in Iowa.

There is no assisted suicide statute here like there is in Oregon and no euthanasia like there is in some European countries.

As a personal observation, people are going to do what they've a mind to when they need to, without worrying overmuch about the law.
