Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington
I had signed a restraining order in February brought against me by an ex-girlfriend...she will be modifying it this August because she is changing her address. Her new address and the address of her workplace will, effectively, block me from a section of town where I do business. Is there grounds for an appeal of the modification?

Yes, but you'll have to make a good showing that this actually "blocks" you from a section of town and document that you do substantial business there. If you do that, the Judge is likely to modify the order (reducing distance requirements for example) to accomodate your legitimate business. Don't appeal the modification, appear at the August hearing and have the modification meet your needs as well.
