Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Washington
my vehicle was towed stating it was abandoned
Recently I had to leave my car at a gas station that was closed due to a severe flat tire. It was midnight and I returned the next afternoon to change the spare, but the car had been towed. On the paperwork the reason for towing was stated as ''abandoned vehicle.'' It clearly was not abandoned and only parked at the gas station without a tow sign directly in front of it for less than 12 hours. Do you think I have a case saying the vehicle was not abandoned. I always though abandoned means more than 24 hours parked.

I've already answered this. If you leave a car on someone else's property, they can tow it within ten minutes if they want. How would you like it if someone left a car on your front lawn? If you had permission from the owner to leave it there, that would be another story, but you haven't said so in your question.
