Re: Voice Recording Laws

It is generally OK to record people speaking in public or on the radio or TV. Public speakers have no expectation of privacy in their public utterances.

Recording telephone calls or conversations on other communication devices presents a different problem. It is not always the recording which is prohibited, but the use to which the information is put which the law guards against.
