Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Washington
Trial date setting
I've filed a pro se action in federal court almost a year ago, and I was wondering how long it normally takes for a federal judge to issue a court date.

Re: Trial date setting
It should have happened long ago, assuming you properly filed and served your complaint.
Call the court clerk.

Re: Trial date setting
As the plaintiff you need to file a joint status report. You confer with the other side and come up with a proposed schedule. If the other side has an attorney they may submit it for you, but that is at their option. The court should issue due dates and a trial date after that report is submitted.
