Re: alcohol consumption

Marriage doesn't change a person's age.(Okay, I am smiling when I write that.)

If the premise is that a person under the age where alcohol consumption is lawful cannot drink lawfully (until they are old enough) then the status of being married does not in and of itself change that person's age.

You should see the hypotheticals where a minor is, sue to their status as a parent, allowed if not required to make life-or-death decisions on behalf of their own minor children.

And the minor's parents theoretically have no additional authority.

There's a scary thought.

Hope this 'splains it for you.
