Legal Question in Consumer Law in Washington
New car purchase
I purchased a new car. When they had car ready for pick up at the dealer, the tinted windows were badly scratched dealer removing the sticker with pricing in car information from the rear window and there was a squiglyl line from what they said was bubble. Dealer said no problem they will take fix this. Over a 3 week period, I called them wanting to know when my car would be ready for pick up. When I went to pick up car the tinting job was very badly done.....the tinting was peeling!!! More than half of the scratches were still there.....this very bad. They kept the car for another week. I didn't hear from dealer - I had to call them again. I inspected the car to find it the tint looked better, but there was still a few flaws. Dearler definded work and wasn't willing to fix problem, and wouldn't give my money back. This isn't what I paid for! The car isn't lincensed yet and has maybe 200 miles on it. I would like all of my money back and so somewhere else. What can I do?

Re: New car purchase
You need to detail your experiences in a letter that is sent to the dealer expressing your dissatisfaction and your desire to walk away from this contract.
You need to send a copy to the Washington State Attorney General, abd be sure the dealer knows you are sending that copy.
If that doesn't work, google for lemon law lawyers in your area and see what comes up.
You were treated badly and their customer service was sloppy. The lesson, I think, is to refuse to take delivery until you are completely satisfied with the product.
Sorry this happened. Powell
