Legal Question in Consumer Law in Washington
Car Repair
I had my car that was in working condition towed to a service shop to have a valve replaced, and when it came time o pay the bill, the car was in non working condition and the Repairman wanted me to pay him for the repairs he supposely done and wouldn't release my car. So do I have a case for small claims court? Should I have paid the Repair bill and then sued?

Re: Car Repair
A mechanic can have a lien on the car he repairs when the bill is not paid. If you are not satisfied with the work performed you can sue in small claims for the money you paid for the repairs that were not satisfactory. Hope this helps. Elizabeth Powell
