Legal Question in Consumer Law in Washington

Home depot servies

After double digit attempts to get correct orders through Home Depot, we are still without the correct items. Do we have the right to file a lawsuit against them? We have paid in full and there response to us is ''there is nothing we can do for you''

Re: Home depot servies

You can file a suit in small claims for the money you have spent. If you want to demand specific performance, you'll need to hire counsel to effectively represent you, and attorneys cannot appear in Small Claims.

Your complaint is that you have paid money but not receveived the benefit of the bargain you struck. This is a Consumer Protection Complaint. You can ask for treble damages and attorney fees. That generally will get a retailer's attention.

Before you hire an attorney, consider contacting the Washington State Attorney General Consumer Protection Division and making a complaint. You will need to provde them with documentation to substantiate your claims.

This is harder if all you have done is make phone calls, so consider writing to Home Depot, spelling out your dissatisfaction and asking them to do what they bargained to do FIRST.

Hope this helps. Powell
