Legal Question in Consumer Law in Washington

Internet ticket purchase

I purchased football tickets via the Internet from 1800bestseats. The tickets had not arrived and we were due to fly out in 2 days. We tried to contact the ticket company, but our calls were never taken. We never received any correspondance from the company assuring us the tickets were sent. We subsequently had to purchase other game tickets because we did not know if the tickets were coming. We contacted my credit card company and they told us to deny delivery of any packages from 1800bestseats and to challenge the charge. They have now denied our requests for a refund.

Re: Internet ticket purchase

This is an issue between you and your credit card company and the website. You need to address your correspondence (NOT email) to the website, and cc your credit card company and the Washington State Attorney General. Send your correspondence to the website by certified mail AND regular mail.

BE SURE that your letter spells out that you did not receive the benefit of the bargan you contracted for, and that you are not paying for tickets you did not receive.

You can really only effectively manage this correspondence on paper.

See what the result is. Hope this helps. Powell
