The statute of limitations is three years if there was no written contract (from the end of the tenancy) and six years if there was a written contract.

If you are a landlord there are provisions you have to follow before you file suit against a tenant for damage to the property.

If you are a tenant, you don't own the real property, and the landlord hasn't damaged your property - or have they?
