Ripped off on T-Shirts

I have made a purchase from a company that makes t-shirts for schools. The t-shirts were printed with an incorrect company name and number. I want a refund and the company refuses. What can I do to collect a refund?

Re: Ripped off on T-Shirts

You are going to have to go read your contract with the printer carefully. This area is covered by the UCC (as adopted in WA) and is addressed in the section related to specially manufactured goods. The shirts cannot be re-sold to somebody else because they were made for you.

In printing, there is a purchase order or similar writing where you (the customer) is required to sign off on the copy, to indicate that you have reviewed it and that it is correct. I can't tell from your facts whether that happened or not.

If the printer has your acceptance of their copy in writing (you agreed that what they printed is what you ordered) then you are going to have to pay the bill.

If there is no writing confirming what is to appear on the shirts, the printer should be prepared to re print your copy.

Something is missing from your facts, I think. If you could address the issue of the purchase order confirmation it would be easier to answer your question.
