Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Washington

Response to Motion to Vacate - Required?

I filed a motion to vacate a judgement on April 3 07, on the grounds that the debt is with a DMP/counseling service. There has been no response to the judgement; the collector has now sent a writ of garnishment to my employer. I would like to take action against this collector, known for its violations and unfair practices. Please advise and thank you.

Re: Response to Motion to Vacate - Required?

That's not a sufficient basis to vacate a judgment, unfortunately.

There is no response required to a judgment.

Your best bet may be to talk to bankruptcy counsel.
