Statute of limitations

I have a amubulance bill from 95 a collection company purchased it. How can you tell when the last activity date is. And what constitutes activity. Can i just pay the original debt they have added 200 in fees.

If there has been no judgment on the debt, then it is likely barred by a six year statute of limitations-- UNLESS you have done something to "reactivate" the debt. If you don't believe that this is the case, and there is no judgment, you should be able to write the collection agency a letter stating that you no longer wish them to contact you. Under Federal law, they must cease all communications, except for lawsuits that they have legal standing to bring.
