Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Washington

Being sued for 1st time?

I owed a debt to a credit agency and set up a plan with them. They have been taking $100 from my checking account each month for the last year and a half. They took it from my VISA Check card Recently my VISA check card was blocked because of to many invalid PIN trys and payment to the agency was canceled because the card was blocked. I thought I had paid it off because they stopped taking payments, but really the card was blocked and I didnt know it. Now I have contacted the collection company, but they wont hear anything I have to say. They say sorry, you are being sued. What should or could I do now?

Re: Being sued for 1st time?

Consider a bankruptcy and a hard lesson learned. The money you have been sending them won't count for anything.
