Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

please help!! me

Im 22 i just got caught for shoplifting in wal mart the total of the stuff was 63 dollars I was very compliant and cooperative they didnt even trespass me they wrote me a ticket for theft 3 it was $250 or less it is in wa state i have no priors will I go to jail what will happen please help me please!!

Relax, although the maximum is 365 days in jail for Theft 3, it is very unusual for a Judge to give you substantial jail time. Additionally, there are diversion programs in most prosecutor's offices and alternatives to incarnation that you may be able to do. But you are getting way a head of yourself. Can they prove the case? This is a question only a lawyer can answer for you and then, if they can, a lawyer can help you work out the best resolution.
