Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
on 4/13/2012 was the first court date and on 6/20/2012 is the trial date and he did not sign his speedy trial rights away , that is passed his 60 day speedy trial what happens now?

If the accused person is not being held in custody, the time for trial period is 90 days.
If he is in custody, and trial was set out past the 60 day rule, he can ask for dismissal; but there are a variety of ways the time can get extended, without his consent.
