Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

i have 3 warrants in Clark county, DWS, FTA, and petty theft charge, all from 2 years ago! I want to get them taken care of, but, since that happened in 07, my mom has been diagnosed with liver disease and a whole bunch of other circumstances that have now left her unable to care for herself, leaving me, or my 87 year old grandma to take care of her. She can't drive anymore, so i have to take her to all Dr. appointments and such, but i don't have a license!! i'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO TO GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF!! I need to turn myself in, but if they won't let me back out of jail, my mom will not make it,Please any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! Shellean 503-505-3078 ASAP

Better to take care of this when you can make arrangements for your grandmother's care than to be picked up on a warrant unexpected. That's likely to make your jail stay longer as well. Unless you have a bad criminal history, none of the charges you name are that horrible. The Judge will want an explanation for the delay in handling the cases but, more importantly, be glad you are taking care of them now. You'll want to document (medical records) you grandmother's situation and get statements from her, grandpa, etc, that you are the only one who can care for her. Also documents your ties to the community so the Judge knows you'll not disappear again. Take all that in to your lawyer and the matter should resolve fairly easily. You are unlikely to be ordered to jail, mostlikely community service, and you can return to caring for grandma.

At your service,
