Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Hi there, almost 3 years ago i got in trouble for walking out of the store with some items for my friend. i got charged with theft 3 misdeamenor...value less than $5. I was sentenced 2 days work crew. My question is if its been this long if i can get this charge off my record..im enolling in school for dental assisting and i cant have this on there...please help!

If you fulfilled all of the conditions of the judgment and sentence and have no other convictions subsequent to the theft, you can file a motion to vacate on the 3rd anniversary of the termination of probation.

Be advised that vacating allows you to state for all purposes that you have not been convcted of the offense; however, the court record will always be accessible to the public unless sealed, which is very difficult to do. Even if sealed, the charge and case number are still accessible (but the public is prohibited from finding out it was vacated).
