You will be quoted retainers ranging from $5,000 to $40,000.

You need to contact a few attorneys and discuss the case with them. Some will calculate fees based upon their evaluation of the case, while others will have a set fee based upon the seriousness of the charge . . . and yours is near the top of the chart.

A higher fee does not ensure better representation. Meet with more than one attorney - you'll make the best choice for your defense.

Of course, make sure the majority of their practice is criminal defense.
