Alfred Plea

I attempted suicide four years ago, but was charged with a gross misdemenor of brandishing a firearm. No felony so why can't I have my great great grandfathers guns back??

ALFORD plea?

If you were not convicted of a felony offense (Alford plea is still a conviction), then you may be prohibited because of mental health issues.

Generally, a person who has been involuntarily committed for mental health reasons or treated for certain mental health issues may be prohibited from possessing firearms under state and federal law until "cleared" by the treating physician.
