Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
appealing my case
My fiance' and I were both found guilty in a court case. We were both offered a deal by the prosecutor, that if we did not appeal our case, we would get a half off our sentence with drug treatment. He took the deal, but I did not. I won the appeal and was released. We were co-defendents in the case and I was wondering if by winning the appeal it covered both of us, since we were tried together as one? He kept the deal made by not being the one to appeal; I did that. So shouldn't it cover him too?

It might very well apply to both of you depending on why you won your case. You should arrange a consult with me immediately so we can review the basis for your appeal victory and determine whether it applies to your fiance. There are time limits on appeals so do not delay. Contact me directly.
