Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
border arrest
Crossing back into US after a 4-day
candian tourist visit, was tagged at
the border for an outstanding (6 year
old) bench warrant in Nevada.
Currently being detained on US side,
awaiting news of possible extradition.
Do we need a lawyer during the
detainment process to avoid
extradition? Or just a criminal
attorney in NV should extradition
happen?

Re: border arrest
Not to sound trite but that depends on how much you wish to avoid extradition to NV. If very much so then you should retain local counsel. I don't handle extradition matters but I may know an attorney who does. If you'd like further assistance contact me directly.
