Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Breaking and Entering
My home was recently broken into and a quad was stolen (8000$). We have an eye witness with the exact description of the vehicle and an exact license plate number. Also, an eye witness who reported a suspicous vehicle with the same description. The witness who wrote the lincense plate number also saw my quad in the back of the truck. Is this enough evidence to press charges? The local poclice dont seem to be pursuing it, at least not with that many leads.

Re: Breaking and Entering
Yes, it is enough to pursue legal action. If the police will not do so you can do so yourself. Go to DOL and find out the registered owner of the vehicle. Then sue the owner for the return of your property. If the owner says someone else used his/her truck, it'll then be up to them to prove who that person is.
