Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
CA teaching job and possible pending WA charge
Hi, I was arrested several months ago at a political protest in Washington state. I am currently applying for a teaching job in California, and the application asks if I have any ''pending charges.'' I have not yet been charged after this arrest. Should I put the expected charges on the application anyways (the police stated on the record that they planned to charge all arrested with ''pedestrian interference'' and ''resisting arrest'')?

Re: CA teaching job and possible pending WA charge
The charging decision is up to the prosecutor and not the police officer so I'd put "No pending charges."
