There is no limit. Up to one year per count. The Judge can run them consecutively which means they run back to back.

Re: city jails

There is no limit per se; however, any one crime for which an offender is sentenced to more than one year would be served in a state prison.

The maximum penalty for an offense that would be prosecuted by a municipality is one year.

That said, a person could serve multiple consecutive one-year sentences in a city jail.

A person could also serve a county court sentence in a city jail under a contractual agreement between the county and city.
