Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
Can I contact him in jail if no contact order has been placed by state
I am having a very hard time wanting to follow through w/being away from my boyfriend. He is in jail for 4felony DV charges of varying degree. I still love him, I am not wanting to recant, but still hoping he can get help and I want to believe in him. The state has issued a no contact order-i've had no contact w/him for two weeks-he's in jail now ($250,000.00 bond) and I just want to talk w/him. Can I contact him? Letters? Anyway? I know he can't contact me. I just want to know if he is still wanting to work things out, if I still can hope for him and us? I know he did wrong, I want him to get help...and being cut off from him is so very painful for me. Any help? I don't know if he even wants to talk to me because I actually followed through w/calling the police this time. I know it is wrong what he did, but I still love him. I also know I can't make him change...I just want so much to see him. We've been together for two years and I miss him so much. I just can't seem to give up on him. I am getting help from advocates (emotional)but I just want to talk to him sometimes so badly. The charges are serious (and true) but if i can forgive him and hope doesn't that count for anything?

You are an ill individual and I strongly recommend that you seek professional help. Stay away from the man in question.
