Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington
no contact orders
why would the judge put a no contact order in place, if they were arrested for breaking a window no one was hurt, we feel no threat from this person, and when talking to the advocate we stated that we felt no threat and did not want a no contact order. And if placed how do we take care of it and how long would it take.

Re: no contact orders
Judges do this automatically often at the automatic request of the prosecutor. Likely your desires regarding the matter were lost along the way. Assuming it isn't a domestic violence situation, you can appear at the next hearing and likely have success just asking the Judge to discontinue the order. The advocate should be able to tell you when that hearing will be.
