if i feel my attorny isnt doing any thing, can i fire him?

Yes. You can always hire the attorney of your choice. Also, you can get a new appointed attorney for certain reasons (although the one you say isn't sufficient). Lastly, although I highly recommend against this, you can represent yourself.
