court hearings and procedures
is it legal for the court to have three superior court hearings to amend a judgment and sentencee without ever notifing the defendent. and never giving the defendent a chance to speak.if interested and need will explain better. thank you!

The court, as a general rule, is not to have ex-parte contact on a criminal case. Ex-parte means with just one side. However, if your lawyer was there it was not ex-parte. Also, the court can amend "clerical errors." So, if the J & S was at odds with what the Judge said in court and on the record they can change it. In general, the defense should be present. What did they change on the order?
