Criminal Theft case
While investigating can a alleged victim of theft pass on alleged activity in the case as fact to individuals outside the case, slander accused, and share discovery in a case when the accused has yet to have a copy of discovery?

Anything that actually is a "fact" is protected since a defense to slander is "truth." So, the victim can pass on all of the alleged activity that is true.
