Re: third degree theft

This charge has a maximum sentence of one year in jail and a $5000 fine. To get the minimum sentence hire an experienced, knowledgeable lawyer. Get documentation that rounds you out as an individual. The prosecutor and Judge only are seeing this charge. Bring in letters of support from family and friends, work and the community. Unless you have experience in the judicial system, a lawyer to guide you is most essential.
